[Edit] I was promptly informed by management after writing the initial review that breakfast burritos are not limited to breakfast hours. I've been coming here for years and ordering breakfast burritos at any time of the day and all of a sudden I can't do that? Since when? I love a good breakfast burrito at lunch time. Oh well.

We've lived in the area for years and have been sleeping on Rod's. The double cheese burger was huge. The chili fries were great. The parts of the fries that had no chili were perfectly seasoned and honestly loved it as well, maybe more.

Probably a 4.0 overall, but this is the best basic cheeseburger in the Southbay imo, and that item deserves a ranking of 5. Here is what is good about the cheeseburger, which really is the only thing I get at Rod's. It has a 1/3lb patty of meat which is bigger than the the typical 1/4lb patties you will find at most other charbroilers. The meat also seems to be very high quality, and never has that "off" taste you might find at other places. Additionally, the burger has a great char flavor which is perfect. The condiments are shredded lettuce, tomato, onions, and 1000 island dressing which all taste great. The 1000 island dressing is perfect for this burger and I think they improved on it from 30 years ago, as it used to be a little runny. Now, it is the perfect consistency, and has a great taste. The sesame seed bun is perfectly fine and not too dense. It really compliments the burger well. And last but not least, this burger is a great value for around $7.00. As for the other stuff, I have tried a chili size, but their chili is not really my preference for burgers. That is not to say that it is not a good chili, but it is something that would work better served in a bowl, as opposed to on a burger or fries. That being said, I prefer the style of chili from establishments like like Tommy burger or Tomboy's, so this is largely a preference issue. All in all, if you want an excellent cheeseburger, I would not hesitate paying a visit to Rod's Charbroiler!

The is a good Everything Burger Joint. The food is good and not that traditional Fast-food stuff. The service is cool they cook the food in front of you. The look of the restaurant is simple. competitive prices. Plenty of parking.

Wanted fast food. Ordered a hamburger with a Philly Cheesesteak combo. Received our order within 10 minutes. Food did not dissapoint! Everything came out fresh from the grease factory :) I recommend this place because of the nice people that work there that greeted us when we walked in. Food is the number one factor at this location. Many to choose from. Ate a burrito here once and I remember it being very tasty. Place is Clean with available parking. Good Hamburger spot!

Since my son loves cheeseburgers, I wanted to go to a place we hadn't tried before. The boys ordered the burgers and I got the fish sandwich. Both were delicious and tasted fresh. Da Hubs said these were the best char burgers he's tried. As far as char goes, my son agrees. We've added this to our list of fave burger places. Funny thing is, when you first arrive, the counter is really close to the entrance. There's ample seating to the side and the place is very clean. Parking in the small lot.
